Alkaline

These dry cell batteries employ manganese dioxide for the cathode, zinc for the anode, and an aqueous potassium hydroxide solution for the electrolyte, allowing them to be used in a wide range of applications.

Zinc Carbon

These dry cell batteries employ manganese dioxide for the cathode, zinc for the anode, and zinc chloride for the electrolyte, allowing them to be used in applications such as clocks and remote controls.
